UnoBAT 62
Sprung Sports Floor
Junckers UnoBAT 62
The UnoBAT 62 is a high-performance sprung timber sports floor, ideal for multi-purpose, dance, and sports facilities catering to all levels of play, from juniors through to professionals.
It is suitable for use on flat floors and meets FIBA Level 1 and European Standards for a high-performance sports floor.
UnoBAT 62 Features
-
Designed to meet the demands of professional athletes, our sprung floors enhance performance while minimising injury risk.
Area-elastic floors distribute impact across a wider surface area, allowing the floor to flex over a larger section rather than only at the point of contact. This provides better shock absorption, improved player comfort, and greater protection against impact injuries compared with point-elastic floors, which compress only directly beneath the load.
The UnoBAT 62 sprung sports floor meets the European Standard for High Performance sports floors (EN 14904 class A4) and is FIBA Level 1 Certified, making them suitable for the highest level of play.
-
Junckers sprung sports floors are suitable for all ball sports as well as dance and gymnasium fitness areas. Sports or dance vinyl can be adhered over the surface to suit different aesthetic and activity requirements.
-
Prefinished 22mm 2-strip solid hardwood floors that can be sanded back to raw wood 8-10 times, offering a life span of more than 25 years.
Your budget and environment thanks you!
-
Junckers’ sprung sports floors feature a unique J-Lock system that protects the rubber shock-absorbing pad, limiting compression to two-thirds to maintain long-term sports floor performance.
Testing measures the percentage of impact energy absorbed by the floor when landing a jump (shock absorption) as well as the vertical deformation of the floor when exposed to dynamic impact (how much the floor flexes).
European standards for high performance sports floors (EN14904: A4) requires shock absorption results from 55- 75% and vertical deformation of 2.3 - 5mm.
UnoBAT 62 with 336mm batten distances, achieves 65% shock absorption and 2.6mm vertical deformation.
-
Correct friction is essential to support player control when moving or rapidly changing direction on the floor.
The European Standard for high-performance sports floors (EN14904:A4) requires a friction value between 80–110. The UnoBAT 62 system with 336 mm batten spacing, achieves a friction rating around 85, delivering optimal grip for controlled movement.
-
A good ball bounce increases the ball control and speed of the game.
UnoBAT 62 is engineered with 25.5 mm thick battens to deliver consistent ball bounce (and superior impact protection) for an exceptional player experience.
Testing measures the rebound achieved by the floor as a percentage of a rebound measured on a concrete floor.
The European Standard for high performance sports floors (EN 14904 class A4) requires a ball bounce > 90%. UnoBAT 62 with 336mm batten distance achieves 94%.
-
Multi-purpose venues often transform from sports courts into concert halls, requiring floors that can support heavy equipment such as retractable seating units and staging.
To ensure the floor is durable enough to withstand these demands, two load types are considered: Rolling loads (movement of heavy units across the floor) and point loads (concentrated weight on a small area).
While the European Standard for high-performance sports floors (EN14904:A4) only requires resistance to 150 kg rolling loads and does not address point loading, Junckers conducts more rigorous in-house testing.
The UnoBAT 62 system with 336 mm batten spacing achieves a 350 kg rolling load capacity and a 600 kg point load capacity, meaning you don’t have to compromise. You can still achieve a high-performance sprung sports floor that meets the demands of a multi-purpose venue.
-
Junckers sports floors are suitable for both new builds and refurbishments but require a flat floor.
Renovations or new builds where a flat floor cannot be guaranteed, should consider the UnoBAT 78.
-
From small community sports centres to large-scale arenas, everyone deserves to play on a high-quality sprung sports floor. Reducing fatigue and helping prevent injury is just as important for U8 basketballers as it is for elite athletes like the Tall Blacks.
With high-performance classification, Junckers UnoBAT 62 is suitable for all levels of play. Combined with the floors ability to withstand heavy loads, they are also ideal for multi-purpose venues and large arenas that require using heavy retractable seating units and moving equipment for venue transformations.
Sustainable sprung sports floors.
We proudly distribute Junckers sprung sports flooring which is designed with sustainability in mind - from forest to finished floor.
Junckers use responsibly sourced hardwood from certified, sustainably managed forests where every harvested tree is replaced, helping to preserve biodiversity and secure wood resources for future generations. Timber is a natural, renewable material that stores carbon, actively contributing to climate goals over the lifespan of the floor.
Each Junckers system is built to last for decades and designed for disassembly, allowing for re-use, relocation, or reconfiguration instead of landfill. Even the production process supports the planet. Surplus wood is upcycled into biomass energy that powers Junckers facilities and supports the local grid.
The result is high-performance sports courts that are as sustainable as they are durable.

The Hardwood Difference
Performance matters, but so does longevity. That’s why we typically only work with solid timber floorboards.
With proper care, our 22mm floors can be sanded 8–10 times, delivering up to 30 years of life before replacement is needed. And we stay with you for that journey.
Our dedicated service team offers re-sanding, re-coating, line marking and repair services, ensuring your sprung floor continues to perform like new for decades to come.
