FlexiPRO 12
Sprung Sports Floors

FlexiPRO 12 V3

The KTL FlexiPRO 12 V3is a high-performance area-elastic timber sports floor, ideal for multi-purpose arenas and professional sports facilities.

Its progressive shock-absorbing system protects athletes at every level, while the unique seven-layer UV-cured finish creates a fully sealed, water-resistant surface.

Built for longevity with a 50-year lifespan, it combines durability, stability, and FIBA Level 1 performance .

It is suitable for use on flat floors.

FlexiPRO 12 V3 Features

  • Designed to meet the demands of professional athletes, our sprung floors enhance performance while minimising injury risk.

Area-elastic floors distribute impact across a wider surface area, allowing the floor to flex over a larger section rather than only at the point of contact. This provides better shock absorption, improved player comfort, and greater protection against impact injuries compared with point-elastic floors, which compress only directly beneath the load.

The FlexiPRO 12 V3 sprung sports floor meets the European Standard for High Performance sports floors (EN 14904 class A4) and is FIBA Level 1 Certified, making them suitable for the highest level of play.

Its low profile provides a finished floor height of just 39mm.

  • Prefinished 22mm solid hardwood floors that can be sanded back to raw wood 8-10 times, offering a life span of up to 50 years.

  • The FlexiPRO 12 sports floor is engineered to limit compression of its shock-absorbing rubber strips, preventing full compression and preserving its shock absorption properties for consistent, long-term performance.

Testing measures the percentage of impact energy absorbed by the floor when landing a jump (shock absorption) as well as the vertical deformation of the floor when exposed to dynamic impact (how much the floor flexes).

European standards for high performance sports floors (EN14904: A4) requires shock absorption results from 55- 75% and vertical deformation of 2.3 - 5mm.

FlexiPRO 12 achieves 57% shock absorption and 2.5mm vertical deformation.

  • The FlexiPRO 12 has been engineered for exceptional stability. The full glue-down of the floorboards to the plywood creates a highly secure system, allowing large floor areas to be installed without the risk of over-expansion.

  • Correct friction is essential to support player control when moving or rapidly changing direction on the floor.

The European Standard for high-performance sports floors (EN14904:A4) requires a friction value between 80–110 which the FlexiPRO achieves.

  • Ball bounce can influence the control and pace of the game.

The FlexiPRO 12 V3 is engineered to deliver consistent ball bounce, alongside superior impact protection, for an exceptional player experience.

Testing measures the rebound achieved by the floor, as a percentage of a rebound measured on a concrete floor.

The European Standard for high performance sports floors (EN 14904 class A4) requires a ball bounce > 90%. The FlexiPRO 12 V3 achieves 96%.

  • Multi-purpose venues often transform from sports courts into concert halls, requiring floors that can support heavy equipment such as retractable seating units and staging.

To ensure the floor is durable enough to withstand these demands, two load types are considered: Rolling loads (movement of heavy units across the floor) and point loads (concentrated weight on a small area).

While the European Standard for high-performance sports floors (EN14904:A4) only requires resistance to 150 kg rolling load, the KTL FlexiPRO 12 V3 floor system has been tested to withstand over 150kg rolling load.

  • The FlexiPRO 12 sports floors are suitable for both new builds and refurbishments but require a flat floor.

  • FIBA Level 1 certified and built for high-performance play, the KTL FlexiPRO 12 V3 is suited to both community courts and large-scale arenas.

Designed to reduce fatigue and help prevent injury at all levels, it also supports heavy loads, offering the flooring flexibility required for multi-purpose venues and adaptable event spaces.

  • The FlexiPRO V3 can be customised to suit local climatic conditions, to prevent cracks, shrinkage or over-expansion.

  • The FlexiPRO V3 comes with a pre-finished 7-layer UV factory coating delivering a completely sealed floor surface with a high resistance to water, cleaning products and resin removers that can damage other floors.

  • KTL sprung sports floors are suitable for all ball sports as well as dance and gymnasium fitness areas. Sports or dance vinyl can be adhered over the surface to suit different aesthetic and activity requirements.

Sustainable sprung sports floors.

KTL timber sports flooring is designed with sustainability at its core, from raw material selection through to long-term use.

KTL primarily uses discarded Hevea (rubberwood) from plantation trees that have reached the end of their latex-producing life, alongside PEFC-certified timber, ensuring responsible sourcing and replantation practices. As a natural, renewable material, timber stores carbon throughout the life of the floor, supporting lower environmental impact.

KTL systems are engineered for durability, with lifespans of up to 50 years, reducing the need for replacement and minimising waste. At end of life, floors can be repurposed or recycled into new wood-based products, supporting a circular approach to manufacturing. Production is also energy conscious, with around 75% of manufacturing powered by on-site solar energy.

The result is a high-performance sports flooring system that delivers long-term durability with a reduced environmental footprint.

The Hardwood Difference

Performance matters, but so does longevity. That’s why we typically only work with solid timber floorboards.

With proper care, our 22mm floors can be sanded 8–10 times, delivering up to 30 years of life before replacement is needed. And we stay with you for that journey.

Our dedicated service team offers re-sanding, re-coating, line marking and repair services, ensuring your sprung floor continues to perform like new for decades to come.
